Have you started coming to Journey in recent months? It simply will be an opportunity to learn more about our church. Children are invited. Lunch will be provided. Please click here to register.

Make a Difference!
Wanted—over 200 volunteers from our church to be the love of Jesus in our community during a week of local missions outreach called JourneyCares! June 18-24 people of all ages have the opportunity to participate for a few hours to all week long (think of it as going on a mission trip but getting to sleep in your own bed!) Advanced preparation and specific skills are not required—but a loving heart and willing spirit are. We need to know in the month of March who wants to participate in order to finalize which projects we’re committing to do (and to order cool t-shirts each of you gets to wear!) so confirming participation is urgently needed. Just a few of the outreach options include: serving at the Rescue Mission or Feeding America, picking up trash on the greenway, delivering meals to older persons, caring for animals, ministering to veterans, painting, plumbing, leading an outdoor children’s Bible club. Sign-up sheets can be downloaded by clicking here. Please print the form, fill it out and put it in a Drop Box on Sunday morning at Northside High School. If you have questions, contact Jackie Taylor at 540-397-4413 or email@example.com.
Journey Church has an opportunity to serve children in four elementary schools by partnering with Elijah’s Backpack, a ministry that every weekend sends food home from school with needy children who might otherwise go hungry. Every Sunday you are invited to bring food to Northside High School and place it in bins in the atrium. Here is a listing of food (individual serving sizes) to go into each backpack: 100% Juice; Oatmeal (Box with Individual Packages); Tuna Kits; Macaroni and Cheese Singles; Peanut Butter (Small Jars); Crackers; Chicken or Vegetable Soup; Apple Sauce; Fruit Cups/Canned Fruit; Spaghettios or Ravioli; Hormel Compleats; Canned Vegetables; Canned Chili; Goldfish; Pudding; Granola Bars; microwave popcorn
