Journey Church offers groups for persons seeking encouragement and care and support for specific needs. Our current community groups are: Celebrate Recovery (a Biblically-based 12-step program to help with destructive hurts, habits and hang-ups), GriefShare (for those grieving loss), DivorceCare (for those going through separation and divorce), Unleash Leadership (a monthly gathering of church, business, educational and community leaders seeking to experience transformational learning and peer support) and Healthy Life (for those seeking to take steps to a healthier lifestyle -- mind body and spirit).
Celebrate Recovery is a program for anyone who is seeking help with life-challenges like substance abuse, hurts, co-dependency, sexual purity, food issues, and anger. The mission of Celebrate Recovery is to celebrate God’s healing power in our lives through a Christ-centered 12 Step program. Celebrate Recovery will meet every Friday night, 7:00-9:00 p.m., at Orchard Hills Church. Orchard Hills Church is located at 6032 Cloverdale Rd, Roanoke, VA 24019. A meal will be provided each week at no cost to program participants. Advance registration is not required, and you may join at any time. Childcare is provided at each meeting with at least 48 hour notice.

It may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. If you've lost a spouse, child, family member or friend, you've probably found there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel. This can be a confusing time when you feel isolated and have many questions about things you've never faced before. GriefShare groups meet weekly to help you face these challenges and move toward rebuilding your life. Journey's GriefShare group meets on Tuesdays, 6:00-7:30 p.m., at Villa Heights Baptist Church, located at 4080 Challenger Avenue NE, Roanoke, VA 24012.
