  • Caring for Children

There is a significant need for DIY masks and food for children in our community.

Masks and non-perishable items may be brought to Journey’s outside worship services on Sundays at 9:00a at our Wild Goose campus at 5646 Cloverdale Road, 24019.

  • School Supplies

Journey is partnering with several local school systems to provide disadvantaged students with school supplies. Due to the current pandemic, we are primarily seeking financial donations to purchase items in bulk that will be mailed directly to the schools. You may give via cash, check or card, but please let our office know (by call, text or email) the amount of your donation that’s to go directly to school supplies. If you prefer to purchase items and bring them to our outdoor worship service, known items needed are: loose leaf paper, notebooks, pencils, binders, book bags, prepackaged individual snacks, and adult and child-sized face masks.

  • Bible Reading Challenge

Grow deeper in your faith by taking on Journey’s September Bible reading challenge! During the month of September, read the book of James in the New Testament. If you’d like, you may download a reading plan from our Journey Church–Roanoke Valley Facebook group (available Sept. 1), or you may email office@journeyconnection.com, and a plan will be sent to you.   You may find weekly posts in our Facebook group to gain insight into cultural context, to encourage conversation about personal learnings, and to be challenged in ways to apply the scripture to your everyday life. Lose the floaties, it’s time to dive in!
