Community Partners We Support

Journey is committed to reaching out with the love of Jesus locally and globally through meeting the physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of people.  When you give financially to Journey Church, you help support our community partners in making a genuine difference in people’s lives.  Through our community partners we seek to share the gospel of Christ in life-transforming ways.

  • Salvation Army

    We financially support the work of the Salvation Army and their ministry with victims of domestic violence.

  • Habitat for Humanity

    We financially support the work of Habitat for Humanity and their ministry that helps families build and improve places to call home.

  • Rescue Mission of Roanoke

    We contribute to the ministry of the Rescue Mission of Roanoke and provide volunteers who care for the homeless in seeking to live out the compassion of Christ. 

  • Roanoke Area Ministries

    We support the work of Roanoke Area Ministries in providing emergency financial assistance and meals for the poor.

  • Feeding America

    We support the work of Feeding America in providing financial assistance for people who are hungry in SW Virginia. 

  • Society of St. Andrew

    We financially support the work of the Society of St. Andrew and participate in gleaning projects to help provide food for people who are hungry.

  • International Justice Mission

    We support the work of International Justice Mission in providing financial assistance to help people who are victims of slavery and sex trafficking around the world. 

  • God's Pit Crew

    We financially support the work of God's Pit Crew and provide volunteers in helping with disaster relief.

  • Bland Ministry Center

    We financially support the work of Bland Ministry Center and provide volunteers in helping with their food pantry, clothes closet and home repair ministry.

  • Water Mission

    We financially support the work of Water Mission and their engineering organization that builds safe water solutions in developing countries and disaster areas.

  • Christians Against Poverty (CAP)

    We financially support the work of Christians Against Poverty (CAP).  This non-profit organization provides free debt help and simple financial education courses.

  • Elijah's Backpack

    We support financially and through food donations the Elijah's Backpack ministry, providing nourishment on weekends for school children who might otherwise go hungry.

  • CRU

    We financially support the campus ministry of CRU which offers spiritual guidance, resources and programs in building Christian communities and spreading the gospel on college campuses.

  • Local Schools

    We partner with these local schools:  Northside High School, Read Mountain Middle School, Burlington Elementary School, Cloverdale Elementary School, Fallon Park Elementary School and Blue Ridge Autism & Achievement Center.  We provide school supplies, personal hygiene items, and Christmas presents for students in need, breakfasts for staff on special occasions, and technological and other services as requested.

    We sponsored the launch of The Hill Church in Roanoke, VA.

  • The District Church

    We sponsored the launch of The District Church in Washington, D.C.

  • Christ City Church

    We sponsored the launch of Christ City Church in Washington, D.C.

  • Vitalize Church

    We sponsored the launch of Vitalize Church in Hardy, VA.

  • Truth Fellowship Church

    We sponsored the launch of Truth Fellowship Church in Roanoke, VA.

  • HIghlands Fellowship

    We helped launch a congregation of Highlands Fellowship in Bluefield, VA.

  • New Life Christian Fellowship

    We helped launch a congregation of New Life Christian Fellowship in Blacksburg, VA.
