Sharing the love of Jesus. Caring for people in need. So many in our Journey family make this a reality time and again.
The principal at Northside High School emailed this past week and said she had a family with children who were great students in elementary through high school, but the family was homeless, and they desperately needed food. She said the mother works hard and is trying. She then asked if Journey Church would be able to provide any basic food staples.
The response was that, of course, Journey would help, that food would be brought immediately, and that more food would be brought later if it was needed.
How could I say that? Because I know the loving, caring hearts of so many in our church’s community of faith who give generously to make this kind of Jesus-like ministry possible.
When you give, please know that you make a real difference in people’s lives. When you give, know that you show to our partner Roanoke County Schools that Journey Church impacts our community for good in practical ways that offer encouragement and hope. When you give, know that God is pleased and honored with you because you reflect the giving spirit of Jesus.
