These are some of the comments from Journey men who went on a mission trip to the Bland Ministry Center:
“I was amazed by everything the mission center does, from dentistry, to all the meals they provide, and the clothes! I am truly humbled.”
While preparing bags of food to be distributed, I learned they provide food for over 800 families per month. It was rewarding to know that our efforts contributed to feeding families and sharing Christ in a very tangible way.”
“It was a great time of fellowship and laughter working alongside everyone. Very fulfilling to serve the community and the Lord. It’s quite humbling to see the level of need. So glad we could be a part of something bigger than us.”
“It is always a pleasure to be with our Journey guys helping our friends at Bland.”
“When I give back, somehow, I receive. Receiving happiness for helping others less fortunate or just making new friends. It’s a process for the goodness of my soul.”
Serving others is a sure sign of truly being a follower of Jesus who said of Himself: The Son of man came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life for the redemption of many. Matthew 20:28 (NMB)
