We are . . .
In this time of social distancing, being and showing the love of Jesus remains central to who we are as followers of Christ. If you have some need, please let our church family know by calling 540-966-5683 or texting 540-632-1535 or emailing HERE.
Seek to find out if people around you are in need and endeavor to meet that need (if you would like help in doing that, let our church family know.)
Consider volunteering (if you are not at high risk). Feeding Southwest Virginia is faced with the crisis of providing food for hungry children and families in this time and is asking for help. To volunteer, call 540-342-3011 ext. 7016 or email HERE.
Pray for one another and for others for wise decision-making and the reducing of fear and anxiety. Send prayer requests HERE. Always remember: God did not give us a spirit that makes us afraid but a spirit of power and love and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7 (NCV)
In this time of crisis, our church family will not gather face to face for worship or in discipleship groups. We will gather online for worship on Sundays at 9:33 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. on our Facebook page HERE. Services are also available to view on demand our church website HERE, on our Vimeo channel HERE and our YouTube channel HERE. Questions that facilitate learning related to the messages and that can be discussed in households or electronically in groups will be posted.
Those of you who are already in Journey Groups may connect online for weekly discipleship. In addition to that or instead of that, we are offering online Journey Groups on throughout the week using Zoom and Facebook. Some of the studies will be from RightNow Media. If you have not yet signed up for that, go HERE (it will provide you with all kinds of video-based resources). Additional emails will be sent out with further information about Journey’s online discipleship initiatives for adults and youth and children. To receive email updates from Journey Church, click HERE.
God calls all followers of Jesus to be generous in financially providing resources that enable the Lord’s church to demonstrate the love of Christ. This crisis is a great opportunity to show our sacrificial commitment to God in a tangible way. Click HERE to find ways to give to Journey as we love each other and our community well during this time.
In the never-failing love of Jesus,
Journey Church loves, welcomes and encourages people of any race, socioeconomic level, marital status, age, spiritual background and is committed to leading unchurched people to Jesus; connecting them in meaningful community for learning and fellowship; intentionally moving them from wherever they are spiritually toward becoming more fully-devoted followers of Christ.
