All couples are invited to a workshop which will focus on communicating and how to work through conflict more effectively. There will be some teaching time, but a significant part of the workshop will be couples spending time by themselves developing these skills.
There is no cost for the workshop which will be led by by Michael DuVal on Saturday, February 22, 2:00-6:00p.m. (which includes childcare and refreshments), but registration is required.

Couples' Testimonials
“We highly recommend the couple’s workshop. Going into it we were a little apprehensive, mostly due to the time commitment. Four hours seemed like a long time to talk about our feelings, yuck! However, most of the time was spent laughing and bonding with one another, learning how to better communicate and to understand why some of our miscommunications happen. We even met a couple new friends! As for the time commitment, it went by very fast. We sat together as a group for a bit learning a new skill, then we went to be by ourselves to practice, came back together and shared (only if we wanted) how it was to communicate in that new way and then repeat. We would do it all over again, and that is saying something! We both left feeling closer and more intimate having shared time communicating on a deeper level.”

“We are engaged and participated in the couple’s workshop. We enjoyed the class and learned better and more effective ways to communicate, not only in times of conflict, but also in times when there is no conflict. We really liked that it wasn’t abrasive, and it wasn’t embarrassing or uncomfortable to be in a group with other couples discussing these sometimes difficult topics. The workshop was a great growth opportunity for us. All couples would be blessed by learning or reviewing these important topics and by sharing experiences with each other.”
